“Nothing will stop the white plague”: Rasputin’s terrible prophecy about the coronavirus
The collapse of the global economy due to the spread of coronavirus infection has prompted netizens to search for prophecies. One of them refers to Grigory Rasputin, a well-known and controversial figure in Russian history.
Netizens remembered the prophecy of Grigory Rasputin about the beginning of the “white plague”. The Russian elder predicted that “when women wear men’s clothes, and men wear women’s clothes,” “Sodom and Gomorrah” will flourish again on earth.
“You will see Death riding a white plague. And the ancient plague will appear before the white plague like a drop before the ocean. Mountains of corpses will be piled up in the squares, and millions of people will be carried away by a faceless death. Cities with millions of inhabitants will not find enough hands to bury the dead, and many villages will be crossed out with one cross. No medicine can stop the white plague, for it will be the threshold of purification, – an excerpt from Grigory Rasputin’s prediction is given.
Residents of the 21st century have already made the assumption that the word “plague” could be an allegory, since Rasputin at that time could not give the exact name of the virus. At the same time, many of them note that a number of the elder’s previous predictions actually took place.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the global death toll due to a new type of coronavirus infection has exceeded 21 thousand people. COVID-19 has already covered 199 countries and territories. More than 465 thousand cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in the world, follows from the agency’s consolidated schedule. The pandemic has hit China, Italy and the United States hardest.
To date, scientists have not officially created a cure for coronavirus infection.
